Privacy Policy

Yang's Auto Service ("we", "us") runs this website. This policy explains what we collect when you use it, how we use it, who else handles it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your vehicle. The VIN (or year, make and model), mileage and the services you pick for an estimate.
- Your contact details, when you send us an estimate. Name, mobile number, preferred drop-off day, any notes, and your email address if you ask for a copy.
- Emails you send us and our replies.
- Basic technical data. Your IP address and browser details, which our hosting provider handles to deliver the site. We also use your IP address briefly to block spam and abuse; those records expire within an hour.
We don't use advertising cookies or analytics trackers.
How we use it
To build your estimate, look up your vehicle and any open safety recalls, contact you about your appointment, send the estimate copy you ask for, answer your emails, and keep the estimate and repair records Washington law requires.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Who else handles it
We use a few service providers to run the site. They handle your information only to provide their service to us.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and stores estimate requests and messages.
- Resend delivers our emails.
- NHTSA (U.S. Department of Transportation): we send your VIN, or your vehicle's year, make and model, to its public vehicle and recall lookup. Never your name or contact details.
- Google Fonts supplies the site's typefaces, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when the page loads.
Parts links marked "find ↗" open other companies' websites, which have their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
On your device
Your browser saves the estimate you're working on (in its local storage) so it's still there when you come back. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
How long we keep it
Estimate requests and emails stay in our shop records until we delete them. We keep estimate and repair records as long as we need them to serve you and as long as the law requires.
Your choices
- To see, correct or delete the information we have about you, call us at (206) 750-5755, stop by, or reply to any email from us.
- Our emails are about your estimate or appointment. If you don't want them, tell us and we'll stop.
- This website doesn't send text messages.
Do Not Track
We don't track you across other websites and don't let advertising or analytics companies do so through ours, so the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, and our shop desk is staff-only behind a password. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't put sensitive information like payment card numbers in the notes field.
Children
This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the effective date at the top.
